On the 01st Oct 2017 I am pleased to say Aaron completed his challenge by swimming 64 lengths in a 25 Metre pool (1 Mile) in 45 mins.
Aaron continued to swim for the latter 15 mins to establish his own personal Best by completing a total of 80 lengths (2 KM).
This was invigilated by John Mallinson - swimming instructor.
Aaron would to say a BIG "Thank you" to: All donations; Bert Williams Leisure Centre & John Mallinson - for all his support; time & coaching 😊
We are very Proud of our 10 year old son.
Aaron heard about the '£30 in 30 days challenge' by Heart on the way to school & immediately decided he wanted to get involved to make a difference.
Global Make Some Noise is Heart's charity in the UK helping to change young lives. The charity delivers life-changing work and helps young children affected by illness, disability and a lack of opportunity, giving disadvantaged children/young people a brighter future...
Aaron has just completed all his ASA swimming levels: 1-10 & has joined competitive swimming.
To raise money Aaron has set himself a swimming challenge: To see how many lengths he can complete in 1 hour on the 01st Oct 2017 at Bert Williams Leisure Centre. Aaron has set himself a target of swimming 1 mile and he has been training HARD. This will be invigilated over by John Mallinson: swimming instructor.
Paddington Bear is Aaron's mascot.
Paddington is wearing his scarf knitted by Sienna- Aaron's younger sister, who has also been supporting Aaron.
